Collegiate Success

Following high school, Thigpen took his talents to the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette). From 1988 to 1992, he made a significant impact in collegiate basketball. His most notable achievement came in 1992 when he played a crucial role in his team's victory in the Sun Belt Conference Championship. Coaching Career

Since 1997, Bobby Thigpen has focused on developing young talent as a high school coach. Over nine seasons, he has led his teams to back-to-back district championships in 2012 and 2013. Coach Thigpen has coached several Division 1 basketball and football players during his 29 year coaching career.
